If asked, Jerry would say that he has been a "doodler" all of his life as well as an advocate of arts based education.  In 2006, after retirement from Indiana University, he enrolled in his first watercolor course and has never de-enrolled.  He loves the Bloomington Watercolor Society: the camaraderie, the monthly meeting, the sponsored workshops,and the opportunity to learn from and with others.
