After 30 years as a graphic artist, Deborah finally had an opportunity in 2009 to take watercolor classes. It was an exciting experiment in loosening up after so many years of making everything exact. She's enjoying learning something so completely different even though she often butts heads with a medium that has a mind of its own. Although Deborah prefers painting portraits, she's been spending a lot of time painting landscapes with the wonderfully inspiring Bloomington Watercolor Society.
